Tim began his career in financial markets on the Stock Exchange floor in 1986. He was one of the founding members of Peel Hunt in 1989, and went on to become CEO in 2004. In 2006, he left Peel Hunt and created Singer Capital Markets which then merged with N+1 Brewin. Tim’s driving ambition is for N+1 Singer to be at the forefront of UK plc, providing equity for the growth of the small and mid-cap sector. Tim went to Wellington College and is married with three daughters. A sports enthusiast in general, he’s particularly keen on cricket, golf, cycling and especially rackets, and was Chairman of The Queen’s Club (2014-2018) and is currently Chairman of CPI Enterprises Inv Committe.

Head of Corporate Broking
Tom joined N+1 Singer in July 2018 and has over 10 years’ experience in the UK small and mid-cap equity market, firstly as a salesman and latterly as a corporate broker. As well as his advisory capabilities, Tom maintains strong relationships across multiple key institutions in London and throughout the UK. He has also helped structure and lead numerous secondary fundraisings and IPOs in a diverse range of sectors.

Head of Investment Funds
Alan joined the Investment Funds team at N+1 Singer in April 2009 and has been an Investment Funds specialist for over 28 years. His early career was at Hambros Bank, BZW and Hoare Govett as a Salesman. He moved to Collins Stewart to head the Sales team in 1999 and worked there until mid 2005, when he left to co-found Fairfax, the investment bank, which he left in late 2008. Alan has helped raise over £2bn for new funds in the last 8 years.

Shaun has been in the City for over 25 years and has covered every aspect of Corporate Finance, from advising on large scale mergers to capital raising activities, and currently runs one of the largest corporate teams by clients in our industry. Shaun is married with three children and is an extremely competitive sportsman, especially at table tennis.

Head of Equity Sales
Alex studied Psychology at Exeter University and began his 23 year City career at Albert E Sharp Securities. Prior to joining N+1 Singer in 2012, Alex was Head of Sales at Charles Stanley Securities and Altium Securities. He has been ranked as a top 3 small & mid cap salesman by Extel, and currently manages several of the largest UK clients. Alex went to Malvern College where his love of sports developed (hockey, cricket and golf). He is married with two boys and a spaniel.

Head of Technology
Richard joined N+1 Singer in April 2018 from Peel Hunt after 13 years, where he was Head of its Technology practice, with extensive experience and a proven track record of serving as a trusted adviser to his clients. Richard brings over 20 years of experience as a small/mid-cap banker and has covered some of the TMT sector’s most highly sought-after growth companies including Telecom Plus, KCom, WanDisco, Boku, IQE, GB Group, 4imprint and iomart. Over his career, Richard has advised on over 100 corporate transactions including 20 technology IPOs and 13 M&A deals.

Head of Research
Richard is a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years’ experience in the City, and holds a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College. Prior to joining N+1 Singer, Richard has held various senior broking roles, including: Global Head of Research and co-Head of UK Investment Banking at Investec; Head of pan-European Small and Midcap research at UBS and most recently Head of European Research at Cantor Fitzgerald Europe. During his career Richard has been top rated in SmallCap Electronics and Engineering and also has experience of working in the corporate world. Richard is passionate about skiing and can usually be found in St Anton as and when time permits. He is also a keen clay shooter.

Head of Trade Execution
Martin studied at Durham University and started his career in 1997 at Henderson Crosthwaite and then Investec. He moved to Bridgewell & Teathers before joining N+1 Singer in 2009. Martin is Head of Trade Execution, covering every listed company in the £50-£250m market cap range. Martin enjoys playing five-a-side football, cycling and running the odd half marathon when his kids allow him the time.

Julie studied a Bachelor of Business (Financial Planning) at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia and holds a MBA from Heriot-Watt University and a CIPD qualification.

Investor Relations Manager
Lisa joined N+1 Singer in 2013 with 9 years’ experience, having previously worked at Evolution Securities and Fox-Davies Capital. Lisa works alongside Corporate Broking and Equity Sales assisting clients for the lead up to and during results roadshows. Lisa works together with the team to ensure N+1 Singer continues to provide clients with an exceptional and prompt service, delivering feedback, share register analysis, market reports and board packs.

Head of Operations
Paul joined R J Thompson in 1987 as a Trader, before moving to the London Stock Exchange in 1991, where he discovered his role in Operations. He remained there a year before moving on as Head of Middle Office for Teather & Greenwood, where he later progressed to Head of Trading Operations. Paul left in 2008 to join N+1 Singer, and has been our Head of Operations since.

Fred graduated from Harvard University and started his career at JP Morgan in the US, South America and London where he became the Senior Vice President responsible for the banks’ business in the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia. Later on, he became Chief Operating Officer at Rothschild Group, Chief Executive of the Bemberg family group, Quilvest and Chairman of Electra Partners. Fred is Chairman of The American Museum in Britain and is the director at N+1 Dinamia, GP Investments and several quoted investment vehicles in Latin America and Europe.
Iñigo de Cáceres
Iñigo de Cáceres
Iñigo de Cáceres has a degree in Business Administration from Bilbao’s Comercial de Deusto (Spain), with an Erasmus Programme from Université catholique de Louvain (Belgium), and a degree in Geography and History from Uned (Spain). Iñigo started his career at Arthur Andersen in the Strategy team of the Business Consulting division. Before joining the N+1 group, he worked at Diageo, in its Madrid office as their Decision Support Manager and member of the Southern Europe Strategy team. Iñigo is the Chief Operating Officer of the N+1 Group, a position he’s held since he joined the company in 2006.
Henry led and funded the buy-out of NCM Fund Services Limited from Noble Group in 2009 and is now its chairman. He joined Noble in 1990 and was one of a team of four that bought the bank from the Noble family in 2000. In 2003, he moved from corporate finance to grow the fund management business, building assets under management from £15m to over £230m. Previously Henry was an officer in the Royal Green Jackets for 5 years and then worked in management consultancy. Henry is on the board of a number of other entities including a £200m private equity fund of funds managed by EIF and N+1 Singer, (he was chairman of Singer Capital Markets before its merger with N+1 Brewin in 2012). In 2010, Henry founded RM Capital Markets Limited, a fixed income broking business, with its CEO. In the charitable sector, Henry is on the trustee board of Save the Rhino International and has completed two Himalayan expeditions with Walking With The Wounded.
María started her career in strategy consulting and investment banking working for Accenture, Bain & Company and Citibank in Spain, Turkey and the UK. In 2003, she joined Microsoft as Marketing and Operations Director of Microsoft Mexico. In 2006 she was promoted to CEO of the South Cone, leading all areas of Microsoft, business and consumer. In 2008, María returned to Spain to be the CEO of Microsoft Spain, with full responsibility over all divisions of Microsoft in the country. In her tenure, Microsoft Spain grew consistently double digit, won market share significantly and got to be top Best Place to Work every year. In 2015 she was promoted to Vice President of Business Solutions for Europe, Middle East and Africa (‘EMEA’), where she was in charge of pre-sales, sales, marketing, customer support and services for all customers, industries and business solutions, doubling the size of the cloud business.
María is currently the Managing Director of Google Professional Services for EMEA, after joining Google in December 2017 as Managing Director of Google Global Sales and Operations (GBO), in EMEA, based in London. In her current role, María is responsible for translating business needs into digital solutions, aiding companies in their digitalisation process.
María also serves as Non-executive board member in Grupo Liberbank and Alantra.
